Appliance Code Check

Terms

These terms explain the permitted use and limits of Appliance Code Check, an independently operated informational website.

Last updated

Informational use only

The site provides general appliance information and decision aids. It is not emergency service, a confirmed diagnosis, personalized professional repair advice, a repair quotation, or a guarantee of cost, outcome, lifespan, or repair success.

Safety, warranty, and exact-model information

Stop and follow emergency or manufacturer instructions when there is an immediate hazard. Safety and warranty directions take priority over economic comparisons. The manual, safety notice, service information, and warranty terms for your exact model take priority over this site. Work involving gas, mains electricity, refrigerant, sealed systems, or major disassembly should be left to qualified professionals.

Calculator limits

Fix or Replace calculators apply published policy thresholds to the figures and facts you enter. Results are decision aids, not appraisals, diagnoses, price estimates, or promises. Inputs may be incomplete, and actual repair, replacement, installation, operating, and disposal costs can differ.

Manufacturer links and independence

External links are provided to help you reach official manufacturer resources. The destination controls its own content, availability, privacy practices, warranties, and services. Appliance Code Check is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by listed manufacturers.

Intellectual property and trademarks

The site's original text, software, layout, and Appliance Code Check brand assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property rules. Manufacturer names, product names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used to identify sources and product applicability; their use does not imply endorsement.

Permitted use and prohibited abuse

You may use public pages for personal, non-commercial reference and share ordinary links to them. Do not attack, probe, overload, evade security or rate limits, interfere with operation, submit malicious content, impersonate others, or scrape or automate access in a way that harms the service or bypasses its controls.

Availability and content changes

We may change, correct, withhold, withdraw, or replace content and features when evidence, safety, source availability, or site needs change. A missing result means no reviewed public record is available; it does not mean a display is safe to ignore. The site may be unavailable or contain errors despite reasonable care.

Corrections and withdrawals

A correction report is a review signal, not an instruction to edit or publish content. Reports may lead to an official-source re-audit, correction, hold, or withdrawal, but never change public guidance automatically. See the Editorial Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for a particular appliance or decision. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Appliance Code Check is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site or linked resources. Users remain responsible for confirming exact-model instructions, safety, warranty, quotes, and service decisions. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site changes. The Last updated date identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means the current terms apply to later use.
