Appliance Code Check

Corrections policy

A correction report starts a review; it never edits or publishes public guidance automatically.

Effective date
July 23, 2026

What to report

Report a possible wrong code, brand or appliance scope, model-family mismatch, unsafe action, outdated official URL, source conflict, or missing market context. Include the page URL and the exact display only when needed; do not send a serial number, address, payment information, or photographs of personal documents.

What happens next

  1. The report is recorded as a separate signal and does not change the public snapshot.
  2. The source, code identity, applicability, safety boundary, and related records are rechecked against official manufacturer material.
  3. A material source change, unresolved conflict, or safety concern can place the affected record on hold or withdraw it from a later release.
  4. A corrected candidate requires a new review and a separate publication decision. The release history is retained.

Urgent safety concerns

If there is smoke, a burning smell, gas odor, sparking, flooding, electric shock risk, severe overheating, or another immediate hazard, stop using the appliance and follow the manufacturer's emergency or safety instructions. Do not wait for a correction response.
